Senator Taylor Rehmet is a veteran, machinist, and union leader, bringing his working-class background to the Texas Senate. He is focused on increasing workers’ rights and pay, strengthening public schools, lowering healthcare costs, expanding small business support, and protecting senior citizens and retirees, all to deliver a more affordable Texas.
Born and raised in Garland, Texas, Senator Rehmet grew up in a household defined by hard work and dedication. His father was an aircraft mechanic and his mother a hairstylist, instilling in him the values of responsibility and service. Upon completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.
