Athens, Tex — Today Sen. Robert Nichols conducted a round table discussion with agriculture leaders from Henderson County.
"Today's meeting was an opportunity to hear directly from those working in agriculture, an industry on which we all depend," said Nichols.
Participants included representatives from key commodity agriculture groups including: beef, dairy, forage, wildlife, and equine.
The goal of the event was for Nichols to learn ways he can help solve problems faced by the agriculture community and to better represent its needs in the Texas Senate. Nichols serves on several legislative committees including the Senate Natural Resources Committee which addresses many issues affecting agriculture.
