In 1942 another series of aerial photographs were taken of West Dallas. The Lone Star Cement company kilns were in full operation and smoke partially obscured the photographs. The areaâs tank farms, lagoons, and burrow pits were in use and the construction of work- er housing continued with the same proximity to heavy industry as it had in the previous de- cade.
