Senator Creighton Statement on the Passing of Former State Representative Ruben Hope

AUSTIN — Today, Senator Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe) issued the following statement on the passing of former Texas State Representative Ruben Hope:

“On behalf of Fawn and myself, I want to extend our deepest condolences to Ruben Hope’s family. Our prayers are with them at this time. Ruben answered the call to service as our State Representative from 1999-2006. The legislation he authored and passed will have a positive impact on Montgomery County and the state of Texas for years to come. He was a dedicated public servant who faithfully represented our community in the Texas House and will be greatly missed by his colleagues, family, and his many friends across our district.”

SENATOR BRANDON CREIGHTON represents District 4, which encompasses Chambers, Jefferson and parts of Montgomery, Harris, and Galveston Counties. He currently serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water and Rural Affairs, the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, the Senate Committee on State Affairs, and as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce.
