SENATOR GREGORY LUNA DIED SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 1999

AUSTIN - Senator Gregory Luna of San Antonio died early Saturday morning from complications related to diabetes. He was 66. Luna had been hospitalized several times since March of this year. Senator Luna has represented Senate District 26 since 1993, he resigned his Senate seat effective September 24, 1999.

A rosary will be held Monday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. in San Antonio at the San Fernando Cathedral, 115 Main Plaza. The funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 9 at the same location. Burial services will follow Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin. The burial services are open to the public. The funeral home handling the arrangements is Angelus Funeral Home, 119 N. Saint Mary St., (210) 227-1462.
